Yeeeeeaaaah, and it’s not like it isn’t simplistic and gross to assume that if someone is treated differently than other siblings in a family it must be due to them not being blood relatives.
If you don’t think it’s gross, I dare you to go find the first adopted person you know and tell them that their parents don’t love them as much as their siblings, or ask them who their "real” parents are. I’ll be over here. That’s okay. I can wait.
You want to talk about how John in particular would be predisposed to do that kind of thinking, then we can talk. Otherwise, just assuming that John didn’t love or care about one of his sons as much as the other because they didn’t share DNA, yeah, no. Just no.
