Via press release from New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman:
“As I’ve made clear: President Trump’s executive action is unconstitutional, unlawful, and fundamentally un-American. That is why my office will be filing to join the federal lawsuit against President Trump and his administration. I’m proud to partner with these organizations to fight to permanently strike down this dangerous and discriminatory order.
“I will continue to do everything in my power to not just fight this executive order, but to protect the families caught in the chaos sown by President Trump’s hasty and irresponsible implementation – including pressing DHS and CBP to provide a full list of those still detained and allow them access to legal service providers.”
The lawsuit was originally filed by the American Civil Liberties Union Foundation, the Jerome N. Frank Legal Services Organization at Yale University, the Urban Justice Center, and the National Immigration Law Center.
It was Schneidermann who forced Trump to settle the Trump University fraud suits for $25M, which Trump has paid.

Trump Fires Acting Attorney General

We lived for many years in Alaska, and I miss this color of light, too.
Can I just say like… I’m not American so I can’t really know what it’s like out there right now, but I am really proud of you guys. Like, Trump – a man known to have sexually assaulted multiple women – is elected, so the women of your country not only turn out in their millions but they inspire women around the world to do the same in solidarity. He preaches anti-intellectualism, so your scientists host database hacking and saving days to preserve data. He bans government agencies from speaking the truth, so they create rogue social media accounts that spread facts even at the risk of their jobs. He brings in racist immigration bans, causing chaos in airports and huge uncertainties in the lives of real, innocent people, so protesters swarm to the airports, lawyers work pro bono round the clock to get people into the country, and people mobilise to destroy him in the high court in a day.
I know this is awful and it sucks and it’s only been one freaking week, but you guys are doing amazing right now and I am so moved and so proud. It’s gonna be tough and everyone will have to pick their battles and just keep fighting and pushing, and this isn’t how it should be but at least we know there are people with the guts and the gumption to do what they can.
You guys are the sand in the gears.Thank you. If you want to understand America, you have to be able to imagine 400 cats in a moose costume. Most of the time it looks like an incoherent twitching mass as the cats inside hiss and scratch each other over things that only matter to those inside that one part of the costume.
Then something really big happens, something that catches the attention of all the cats, and suddenly instead of a twitching flat lump, you’re facing an fully grown, fully coordinated, VERY angry moose.
The administration thought it would be herding cats. Instead, it’s facing a charging moose.
Ok that’s hilarious
Be the moose guys. Be the freaking moose

BREAKING: Multiple People Have Been Killed In A Shooting At A Canadian Mosque
A shooting was reported Sunday night at a mosque in Quebec City, Canada, police said.
Multiple people were killed in the shooting, CBC News reported. Two people were arrested, police said.
The mosque, the Islamic Cultural Centre of Quebec City, was founded in 1985, according to its Facebook page.
It’s not the first time the mosque has been targeted. In June 2016, during the Muslim holiday of Ramadan, a pig’s head was left in front of the mosque.
A video posted by the mosque showed a heavy police presence at the scene.
The shooting comes as protests were held around the US after President Donald Trump placed a ban of refugees coming from seven Muslim-majority countries. Canada’s government said Sunday that they would assist any US-bound travelers who had been stranded in Canada because of the refugee ban.

Pope Francis: You cannot reject refugees and call yourself a Christian
“It’s hypocrisy to call yourself a Christian and chase away a refugee or someone seeking help, someone who is hungry or thirsty, toss out someone who is in need of my help,” said Pope Francis.
“If I say I am Christian, but do these things, I’m a hypocrite.”
All nations must focus on “service to the poorest, the sick (and) those who have abandoned their homelands in search of a better future for themselves and their families.”
He’s not alone:
Christian Leaders Denounce Trump’s Plan to Favor Christian Refugee
But if Mr. Trump had hoped for Christian leaders to break out in cheers, that is, for the most part, not what he has heard so far.
A broad array of clergy members has strongly denounced Mr. Trump’s order as discriminatory, misguided and inhumane. Outrage has also come from some of the evangelical, Roman Catholic and mainline Protestant leaders who represent the churches most active in trying to aid persecuted Christians.
By giving preference to Christians over Muslims, religious leaders have said the executive order pits one faith against another. By barring any refugees from entering the United States for nearly four months, it leaves people to suffer longer in camps, and prevents families from reuniting.
Also, many religious leaders have said that putting an indefinite freeze on refugees from Syria, and cutting the total number of refugees admitted this year by 60,000, shuts the door to those most in need.
