I love Myst! I think the most obscure favorite game I played was Primal- your character turns into four demon forms and she has a gargoyle pet voiced by Andreas Katsulas (G’Kar from Babylon 5 )

My brothers and I spent HOURS playing the Star Trek BASIC ascii pictured – text game waaaaaaay back in the 1980s.  I can’t tell you how revolutionary it was to be able to play an interactive game BY YOURSELF.  It’s not hyperbole to say that it literally changed the world.
